The Sunday Reset Routine That Changed My Life


You and I both know the Sunday Scaries are real. I used to spend Sundays dreading the week ahead… scrolling, snacking, and procrastinating everything I should be doing. My therapist encouraged me to say goodbye to ways of life that aren’t serving me anymore and thus the beginning of my Sunday Reset Routine

Now, I wake up on Mondays feeling calm, prepped, and even a little excited for the week ahead. You don’t need to overhaul your life. In fact, just adding a few intentional habits can change everything and ultimately, I find that when I show up for myself with preparation instead of procrastination, I can trust myself more to get the work done during the week.

My Sunday Reset Routine (Step-by-Step)

Here’s exactly what I do, usually in under 1–2 hours. Feel free to copy this routine or make it your own!

1. Tidy My Space (30 min)

  • Quick pick-up of clutter (kitchen, bedroom, bathroom)
  • Light vacuum or sweep
  • Wash sheets + towels

2. Restock & Refresh (15–30 min)

  • Grocery pickup or fridge cleanout
  • Laundry folded and put away

3. Plan the Week (20 min)

  • Fill out planner or digital calendar
  • Review appointments, deadlines, to-dos
  • Brain dump anything on your mind

4. Self-Care Ritual (15–30 min)

  • Skincare (mask, exfoliate, moisturizer)
  • Long shower or bath
  • Loungewear + clean sheets = ✨bliss✨

5. Mindset Reset (10 min)

  • Read something nourishing (devotional, book, poem)
  • Write 3 intentions for the week
  • Pray, meditate, or journal

All I’m saying is: you don’t need a perfect routine to have a peaceful Sunday. You just need a few simple habits that help you reset, refocus, and feel more like yourself. Whether you do all five steps or just one, give yourself permission to slow down and set the tone for the week ahead.
